Honey production

< MAYAN Honey Company> has also started its activity in production and packaging of pharmaceutical as well as herbal honeys. The medicinal properties of natural honey is very important to this company. “MAYAN” gathers the finest honeys from different regions of Iran such as Fars, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh Va  Boyer­Ahmad provinces and offers them to consumers in the best possible conditions and forms and free from any damage on food packaging.

All products of this company are analyzed before packaging in food control laboratory, they can be packaged in the best form just in the case that they had passed all the Standard factors.

 

Types of honey

Honey has its own special properties according to production region and the flowers that honey bee have eaten. However, due to method of offering to market, honey is classified as follows:

1.Liquid honey ( honey extracted from Shan)

Using centrifugal force and gravity or by filtering, this kind of honey is separated from Shan.

 

2.Waxed honey (Shan honey)

This honey exists in Shan houses. This type of honey can be seen in several forms such as:

  • Piece Shan honey is produced in square cube, small cube or circular shapes.
  • Individual piece Shan honey is produced in one-quarter size of ordinary Piece Shan honey.
  • Large Shan honey is produced in narrow width frames and thin Shan base.
  • Shan honey mixed with liquid honey contains cut Shan honey that is placed in a container and the remained space filled by liquid honey.

 

3.Royal jelly

Royal jelly is a thick material in yellow or cream color that is secreted from HYPOPHARENGEAL gland of young worker bees and is the only food of honey bee queen. When this jelly is mixed with honey, after a while, honey will be very diluted. Royal jelly flavor is sour and astringent.

 

4.Honey bee pollen

Pollen is male flower seed that exists at the flag flower end and is the only factor to fertilize the plant. Honey bee stores this pollen inside its legs bags and takes it into the hive to feed itself and its babies.
